The Living Rights Festival presents a screening of Nadine Cloete’s Action Kommandante

Join us on Saturday, 26th October 2024, at Bertha House Cinema in Mowbray, Cape Town, for a special screening of Action Kommandante, an award-winning documentary by acclaimed South African filmmaker Nadine Cloete. The screening starts at 10:30 am.

Nadine Cloete is a celebrated director whose work focuses on untold South African stories. Her films explore themes of resistance, identity, and social justice, earning her accolades both locally and internationally.

Action Kommandante is a compelling portrait of anti-apartheid freedom fighter Ashley Kriel. The film has been praised for its deep emotional resonance and meticulous storytelling, capturing the spirit of youth rebellion during one of South Africa’s darkest periods.

We are honored to have Nadine introduce the film in person and take questions after the screening. Entrance is free, and all are welcome!
