Facilitated by comedian, Goldie Shevlane and judged by poet, Bernadette Muthien, this session is a platform for youth and community activists to share their thoughts on justice, peace, and global challenges. Poetry for Humanity – A call for an end to genocidePoets – Zenariah Barends, Lisa Julie, Steph Carolus, Riyadh Sarang (Riyo), Vusumizi Mpofu, Mfundi the poet, and Mishy on guitar. Free entry and donations will be welcome.

This interactive workshop, led by notable popular education experts Shirley Walters, Astrid Von Kotze, and Vanessa Reynolds, explores the concept of “advantageous knowledge” and the role of intuition in building resilient communities. This session offers a space for dialogue, learning, and reflection, as we collectively examine how knowledge can empower us to live more fulfilled and just lives.

Experience the compelling story of Ashley Kriel with a screening of ‘Action Kommandante.’ This documentary, introduced by its director Nadine Cloete, delves into the life of the anti-apartheid activist, tracing his journey and legacy as a symbol of resistance. Join us in honouring his memory and reflecting on the continuing struggle for justice. Following the film, engage in a brief discussion on activism, resilience, and the role of storytelling in inspiring social change.
