Featuring an Introduction by Director Bobby Rodwell
Surplus Radical Bookshop and The Institute for African Alternatives invite you to a screening of the film ‘Word Down the Line’ by Bobby Rodwell
‘Word Down The Line’ is a poetic reflection of South Africa’s journey to democracy, told through the voices of some of the country’s most iconic poets. The film tells the story of the country’s liberation struggle through poetry.
Legendary South African poet Lesego Rampolokeng takes to the tracks to find out whether we have anything to celebrate after a few decades of democracy.
This event is produced as a partnership between Surplus Bookshop and IFAA, supported by the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation
The screening will include an introduction by director Bobby Rodwell.
She has been working in theatre, documentary film, and radio for the past two decades. Bobby works as a producer and writer focusing on socio-political issues across the continent.
